Vietnam
In 2019, armed with my mother’s 1980s SLR camera and a bag full of film, I set out to explore the incredible country of Vietnam. Drawn in by the breath-taking scenery, fantastic food and complex history I embarked on a two-week journey that would take me through all the way from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi.
My goal with my photography was to not only capture the magnificent beauty of Vietnam, but also what struck me as the resilient and hardworking spirit of the Vietnamese people. In particular, my favourite images show women working barefoot in the mud of a remote rice paddy field, a flower merchant smiling towards her child and a young boy playing alone whilst his mother watches.
